  About America

I was born in Venezuela in February 1977, daughter of Joan and Piedad. I only lived there for two and a half years. On the way to Europe, where my parents came from, we visited most of Latin America. Unfortunately, I can't remember anything from that trip, although my mother often tells me stories about it.

Plaça del Mercadal, Reus

I spent my childhood in different places of Catalonia, where my mother was working as a pediatrician. I lived in Sant Carles de la Rapita, Reus, Tordera and Olesa de Montserrat. However, I spent my teenage years in Reus, a town I have very good memories of and where my mother and best friends live.

In 1995 I went to study Economics in Barcelona and I moved there. Once I finished my first undergraduate degree in 1999, I started to travel and since then I have been living and working in several places. In 1999-2000 between Barcelona and New York; in 2001, 2003-2005 between Barcelona and Washington; in 2006-2008 between Barcelona and Pittsburgh; and in 2008-2009 in Brussels.

Me at Home, Barcelona

Living between two continents provides me with a perspective that I could hardly obtain being in a single place.
